Job Overview

This key leadership role involves overseeing the design activity, providing strategic direction and leadership while facilitating collaboration with other Design centres representatives within the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling workflow within the design department, assigning tasks and coordinating inter-specialties collaboration.

Key objectives include ensuring successful delivery and customer satisfaction of all projects in the department, implementing local and group procedures and processes, and seeking to improve the efficiency of company processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent management skills and the ability to lead and motivate people. Experience with managing international contracts and flexibility/adaptability under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Design Activity Management: Provide overall direction and leadership for the local design activity, coordinate with other Design centres representatives and facilitate knowledge/experience transfer.
  • Workflow Planning and Control: Plan, organize and control workflow within the design department, assign tasks and coordinate inter-specialties collaboration.
  • Project Delivery and Customer Satisfaction: Ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction of all projects in the department, in-line with company processes.
  • Process Improvement: Seek to improve the efficiency of company processes, identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
Requirements
  • Technical Background: Civil Engineering degree, majoring in railways, roads and bridges.
  • Management Skills: Proven experience in managing teams, including leading and motivating people, and experience with managing international contracts.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Romanian and English, with the ability to write concise, well-structured and clear reports summarising complex information.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, proficiency in recognised design software and Microsoft applications.
