Join Emerson in Cluj Napoca, Romania as a Buyer for a challenging opportunity to develop your skills and grow in your career. You will be responsible for buying materials through MRP and Requisition process from a list of suppliers, considering supply chain targets and KPIs. Your tasks will include handling material availability, resolving challenges, and proposing solutions to eliminate root causes of problems in the supply chain.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships to achieve company goals related to schedule, reducing material lead times, improving quality, reliable delivery performance, and favorable pricing;
  • Releasing purchase orders based on system (MRP) messages and on requisitions (back to back orders);
  • Resolving materials issues (price, quantity, specification, and delivery dates) by checking order acknowledgments and taking appropriate actions;
  • Improving supplier delivery performance and working with non-performing suppliers for improvement;
  • Evaluating and determining the best shipment mode to optimize logistic cost;

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical or related field;
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement activities, customer service, order management, or logistics;
  • Understanding of materials planning and buying needs;
  • Proficient level of English;

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Collaboration and communication skills within a matrix organization;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.);
