Join Emerson as a Buyer in Cluj Napoca, Romania, and explore an excellent opportunity to buy materials through MRP and Requisition process from a list of suppliers, considering Supply Chain targets and KPIs.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships to achieve company goals related to schedule, reducing material lead times, improving quality, reliable delivery performance, and favorable pricing;
  • Release purchase orders based on system (MRP) messages and on requisitions, check daily open PO reports to identify overdue deliveries and missing order acknowledgements;
  • Resolve materials issues (price, quantity, specification, and delivery dates) and update promised dates based on order acknowledgments;
  • Send delivery performance to suppliers and work with non-performing suppliers for improvement;
  • Work with suppliers to improve their lead-time to support EMEA sites inventory and company customer service objectives;
  • Evaluate and determine the best shipment mode to optimize logistic cost;

You will be a great fit for this role if you:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical or a related field;
  • Have 3-5 years of experience in procurement activities/customer service/order management/logistics;
  • Understand materials planning and buying needs;
  • Are proficient in English;

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
