We are currently seeking a AWS Data Lake Engineer to join our team in Bucharest, București (RO-B), Romania (RO).

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior AWS Data Lake Engineer to join our team. As a Senior AWS Data Lake Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our AWS-based data lake infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to the effective storage, organization, and retrieval of large volumes of data for analytical and business intelligence purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain a scalable and secure AWS-based data lake architecture.
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions for efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval.
- Implement data governance and security measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Work with AWS big data services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and others to build and optimize data pipelines.
- Develop and implement data lake policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data lake solutions with existing systems and applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an AWS Data Lake Engineer, with expertise in designing and implementing data lake solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS big data services and tools.
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization for analytics workloads.
- Proficient in query languages and tools for data extraction and analysis.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in AWS.
- Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.
- AWS certifications related to data analytics or big data are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional level certification in AWS (or agreement to obtain within 6 months post hire)
