In a DevOps environment, even the most skilled developers can use some help designing cutting-edge, cloud-native systems. The client's Cloud Engineering team is responsible for creating secure, scalable, cost-conscious systems to support our enterprise-scale global SaaS products; developing tools and services to streamline operations and the platform development experience, and providing subject matter expertise around cloud-native architecture and progressive delivery.

Requirements:

Job Description

  • Demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, securing, and supporting software systems in a heterogeneous operating system environment
  • Experience with cloud-based administration (Azure or AWS) with a deep understanding of cloud concepts, Kubernetes, and cloud security
  • Experience with security and privacy Certifications like FedRamp, SOC2, GDPR
  • Excellent knowledge of different redundancy and backup and disaster recovery approaches in the cloud
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, or Azure Log Analytics

Nice to Have:

  • Experience writing PowerShell/Python scripts and markup language files such as XML, JSON, and/or YAML as well as familiarity with Object Oriented Programming (C#, Go, Python, etc)
  • Deep understanding of firewalls, VLANs, NAT, NACLs, Load Balancing, VPN tunnels, DNS, DHCP, and packet filtering
  • Experience with Azure ARM, AWS CloudFormation, and/or Terraform template creation and execution.

Job Responsibilities:

In the role and capacity of Senior Site Reliability Engineer - you will be expected to:

  • As the primary point of contact for several critical production cloud-based systems, monitor, configure, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues as necessary.
  • Ensure critical SLAs are met which will include an on-call schedule for emergencies.
  • Evangelize, plan, and coordinate implementation and improvements of DR, failover, incident management, and geo-redundant solutions of our existing SaaS applications
  • Develop solutions for collecting, analyzing, and acting on telemetry and log data from applications.
  • Leverage previous experiences and industry best practices to monitor and improve the infrastructure of SaaS offerings.
