IT Senior Financial Analyst

Emerson's Business Management Office seeks a motivated individual with a focus on customers to join our IT Finance organization. The ability to work within a team environment, think independently, and find opportunities to improve processes and procedures is needed for the success of this position and required to achieve the overall purposes and promises to deliver world-class services. The primary function of this position is to perform accounting processes and procedures specifically for our Infrastructure and Operations Area. These processes and procedures include budgeting and forecasting along with related variance analysis. This position will play a key role in ensuring good controls and no surprises in regard to all things financial inside their assigned services. They will also play a significant role in supporting longer-term initiatives and financial planning.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Forecast budgets on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis. This includes monthly POR's, participation in Annual Budgeting Cycle, and long-range planning of asset refreshes along with the financial impact.Participate in and or supervise standard cost accounting activities and rate setting including variance analysisGenerate and analyze financial and operational metricsProcess actual transactionsPerform administrative tasks and participate in management surrounding the financial aspects of asset life cycle management, especially with regard to leased assetsAssist in evaluating potential IT investments, both from a ROI perspective and from a business alignment perspectiveWork with all areas of Emerson Corporate IT; Vendor Management, Project Management Office, Architecture, Security and IT Operations to assist in analyzing both current and future product and service costs and related cost recovery modelsHelp identify, develop and implement tools, business processes and proceduresParticipate in capacity planning, strategy and staff meetingsPrepare presentations to Senior Corporate and Business Unit IT ManagementOther duties as assignedWho You Are:You can interpret and apply understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.Apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.See ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies.Know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.For This Role, You Will Need:Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent experience3-5 years of work experience in business including financial analysis and working in an IT shared service environmentSome experience with Oracle/SAP financial and procure to pay systemsAdvanced user of Microsoft products including SharePointPower BI experience and or the ability to learn quicklyStrong analytical skills a mustPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Good communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to excel in a team environment.Our Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
