We are currently looking for a User/Insight Researcher to join our growing Research team.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across UX, Product and Proposition teams, brining the voice of our customers and users into every stage of decision-making.

Our team has a global presence; our Insight Researcher will be based in our Cluj office.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work at scale and make a real impact, while also helping to mature and shape the direction of our research function, operations and processes as we continue to grow. We will be counting on you to lead generative and evaluative research autonomously to influence product strategy, guide the design of products and propositions and de-risk decisions.

We will count on you to:

  • Design and lead impactful research projects independently from start to finish, including planning, methodology selection, recruitment, data gathering, analysis, synthesis, and presenting outcomes
  • Use a variety of qualitative and mixed methods to translate complex user needs into actionable insights for Product, Proposition, and Tech teams
  • Evangelize customer and user research within the organization by demonstrating efficient processes, rigorous methodologies, and compelling deliverables
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target audiences and champion their needs throughout the product and proposition lifecycle
  • Collaborate within a supportive, growing Research team focused on improving the lives of millions
  • Embrace experimentation and a learning mindset, viewing challenges as opportunities to learn and improve
  • Take ownership of your research projects, influencing how we work and grow, and help drive the direction of the research function, operations, and processes
  • Work on both B2B and B2C products, tailoring research methods to the unique needs of each

What your role can grow into:

  • Champion the research discipline by becoming a leading voice in shaping how research drives decision-making across the organization;
  • Establish robust frameworks and processes that embed research into the heart of product and propositions delivery;
  • Define and prioritize long-term research needs, working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to focus on the opportunities that will create the most impact;
  • Elevate insights externally by translating research into compelling narratives through blog posts, thought leadership articles, and webinars that showcase our expertise and influence the wider industry conversation;

What you need to have:

  • 3 + years experience in a user and market research role, ideally in a digital or SaaS context;
  • Experience delivering independently on a range of research projects and at different life cycles, including discovery, generative and evaluative research projects;
  • Knowledge and experience with user-centred design and a wide variety of qualitative and mixed methods research tools and methodologies, such as user interviews, user testing, Jobs-to-be-done, card sorting, competitor analysis, market trends analysis, surveys creation and analysis;
  • Basic knowledge of quantitative data collection and analysis; a willingness to explore and upskill in quantitative methodologies and data, for example, to inform competitor analysis, proposition design, product roadmap prioritization, product-market fit, or audience segmentation;
  • Ability to identify and develop a range of deliverables, write succinct and clear research reports and summaries, and present research outcomes in a compelling way, adapting deliverables to a different audience to make the most impact;
  • Strong interest in being an expert on the product, the technology and the process that will allow you to help bring a product into the market;
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactively identifying areas where research can make an impact;
  • A deep desire to learn and become the best UX researcher that you can ever be;

What makes you stand out?

  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Sociology, Anthropology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Computer Science, Psychology, Interaction/Industrial Design or related field;
  • Experience in quantitative research: respondent-centred survey design, analytics and log data analysis, choice-based modelling (e.g. max/diff, conjoint), and segmentation; experience with tools such as SPSS, R, Python or equivalent;
  • Knowledge and experience with trends analysis, market research and competitor benchmarking;
  • Experience in scaling research processes and defining best practices;
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and timeframes, with project management tooling such as Jira and Confluence;
  • Knowledge and experience with AI-powered research tools and platforms; ability to demonstrate how you use AI-powered tools within your research process; or experience with research for AI features and products;
  • A desire to generate interest around research, human-centred design and evidence-based decision making by creating content that can be used in blogs, thought leadership, clients presentations and leadership meetings;
  • Experience in identifying and managing research tools that would help evolve the research discipline and improve efficiency (knowledge of AI-powered tools is a plus).
  • Experience in supporting and mentoring proposition managers, product managers and UX designers in research methodologies, helping them identify the best approach for their needs;
  • Knowledge and experience within the HR domain, Total Rewards and/or Benefits;
