Head of Engineering

Reporting to the SVP of Engineering and Product, this role will lead and manage Everseen's talented and growing engineering teams across our Serbia and Romania locations. The role will be responsible for operationalizing the strategic direction of the team and building our successful edge and cloud solutions across our Vision AI platform. The role will oversee day-to-day execution across engineering while contributing to longer-term technical vision and roadmap in partnership with product and senior and executive Everseen leadership. This role will require equal parts technical depth, operational rigour and people leadership.

What You'll Do

• Define and execute the engineering vision and strategy aligned with the SVP of Product and Engineering and the overall function and company goals.
• Lead, drive, develop and manage Everseen's world class engineering teams across Romania and Serbia and ensure delivery of our solutions to our customers.
• Working with the Product and Engineering Operations Manager and Product team, oversee the design, development and deployment of scalable edge and cloud native solutions as part of Everseen's product road map. Ensure releases deadlines are met and managed.
• Champion and drive best practice and world class processes in software engineering across CI/CD, DevSecOps and observability.
• Collaborating closely with Everseen's Chief Architect, ensure architectural intergrity, performance and security across all solutions and features.
• Ensure that product, project and feature teams are resourced appropriately and that the skills required exist and are fostered throughout the team.
• Ensure that the tools that the team may need are secured. Manage budgets and vendor relationships accordingly.
• Develop and maintain Engineering KPIs and SLAs to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Mentor and develop engineering leaders and individual contributors.

Collaborating With

• You will be leading and working with our experienced teams of full stack engineers, DevOps engineers, QA engineers, product managers, research scientists and more broadly with our operations (delivery) teams as well as externally with our customers.

Profile & Skills

• 15+ years experience in a software development based role with at least 5 years in a senior engineering leadership role .
• Proven experience scaling, leading and managing engineering teams in a high-growth, global SaaS or platform company.
• Strong leadership skills with a deep understanding of the needs of your team and an ability to bring teams together to work on common goals.
• Strong communication skills are required along with building and maintaining successful relationships with stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills are key, experience of working within a changing technical landscape and cutting through ambiguity is a must for this role.
• A keen customer focus is required, our customers impact everything we do An ability to place the customer front and centre and build solutions to reflect their journey is key.
• Demonstrated experience of working with distributed teams across engineering and product functions.
• Deep understanding of edge computing, cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, microservices), and distributed systems.
• Strong background in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software development lifecycles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
