MOL Romania as a part of MOL Group is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Fuel Pricing Expert to join our team in Bucharest. In this role, you`ll analyze, propose and set up pricing strategy for all fuel grades in Retail with the aim of maximizing volume/margin ratio.

Location: Bucharest, Romania

As a Fuel Pricing Expert, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Daily monitoring of the market situation, create proposals and set fuel price changes (all grades), collection and analysis of competitors' fuel prices, ensuring the smooth running of the price change process in accordance with Group Fuel Price change regulation

  • Set the pricing strategy for all fuel grades and for each station separately (micro-market) in order to maximize margin/volume ratio and pricing governance (generating, benchmarking and resetting pricing strategy, coordinating realization, streamlining analysis of results)

  • Initiate regular reviews of micro-markets at least half-yearly or respectively ad hoc reviews, whenever changes in micro-markets or significant deviations in the performance of own stations in micro-markets are observed

  • Participate in preparing data for expert documentation for setting retail prices and prepare reports on sales, price differences for individual fuel trademarks, inform users about regulatory changes, and align business processes and their implementation within the scope of work

  • Support decision-making by hierarchical management in Retail - prepare analysis and reports required for standard (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and ad-hoc format; Conduct control of input prices and necessary documentation

  • Prepare the annual business planning at the level of service stations, including periodical forecasts during the year; Identify opportunities for effective improvement and optimization of own retail processes

To be successful in the role, you should have:

  • University degree in Economics or Business degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in Retail and/or commercial fields

  • Fluent in English

  • MS Office, particularly Excel and PPT – advanced. Power BI – nice to have

  • Commercial mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills; Strong analytical skills, financial analysis

  • Attention to the market and commercial sense
