This is a full-time job suitable for passionate professionals who want to work for a leading European Insurance Group on a very flexible work schedule.

You will work as part of a multinational group with true, large, enterprise-wide systems, complex architectures and real-life constraints (speed, performance, non-stop systems availability) and are going to be part of an agile team aimed at designing and implementing enterprise level solutions.

  • Contract duration: Undetermined
  • Schedule: Full-time (8 hrs/day, Monday to Friday)

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct research, design, prototyping, and other exploration activities for the main Point of Sale database (PostgreSQL database) used by UNIQA's sales applications
  • Analyze, enhance and maintain data model solution and services
  • Collaborating with other teams to support them in the enhancement of the data model and data flows around the Point of Sale database
  • Ensuring smooth database operation and data import/synchronization
  • Change, configuration, incident & problem management for Point of Sale database system
  • Driving DB platform improvements and optimizations
  • Communicate complex technical topics in a clear way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting decision-making and alignment
  • Create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Formulate and commit to the Team PI Objectives and iteration goals
    Continuously improve team processes by actively participating in SAFe events, including Team and Program ceremonies and Inspect & Adapt workshops.

Required Skills

  • University degree (Bachelor/Master) in IT, Economics or other relevant studies
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT
  • Good knowledge of databases and in particular PostgreSQL
  • Very good knowledge of SQL language
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Strong understanding of system integration concepts and data flows between applications
  • Capable of analytical and solution-oriented thinking
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to details
  • Effective team-worker in a corporate environment
  • Able to work on multiple tasks at the same time and maintaining high quality standards
  • Structured, organized working style, with an ambition to deliver quality results in limited time
  • Constantly driven for improvement
  • Active involvement in team activities/decisions
    Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

Desirable skills

  • Basic knowledge of business architecture and analysis methodologies
  • Experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
  • Experience in using JIRA and Confluence
    Experience in the Insurance field.
