Junior AP/AR Accountant

Junior AP/AR Accountant
in the IT service industry supports financial record-keeping and reporting by handling data entry, processing invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling accounts, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and assisting with budget preparation and audit.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in accounting 2-4 years.
• Expertise in Romanian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Advanced Excel skills: experience with SAGA software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in both Romanian and English, such as effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with team members and resolving issues.

Your Responsibilities:

• Booking supplier invoices in the accounting software, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing.
• Booking client invoices in the accounting software, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing.
• Booking payments and collections as per bank statements in the accounting system
• Provide support for accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring proper follow-up and accurate balances.
• Perform reconciliation of supplier /clients' accounts, bank statements and general ledger accounts for month-end/quarterly-end/annually basis
• Provide support for issuing client invoices when needed based on contractual agreements and billing schedules.
• Assist with collecting expense claims for employees on a monthly basis for month-end closing
• Provide support with preparing and submitting required statistical reports to INS and BNR.
• Creating and updating electronic archive for accounting documents on a weekly basis (scanning, archiving accounting/financial documentation).
• Check and track B2B invoices and prepare payment files for processing.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in alignment with internal procurement procedures.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Provide support during internal & external audit processes by preparing required documentation and electronic archive.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records for accounting department.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Financial Controller (such as AP/AR/Bank/Cost/Revenue analysis).
• Collaborate with the external accounting firm, serving as an intermediary to ensure compliance, timely reporting, and smooth information flow.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data and resolve accounting issues.
