What you will do:
As a
R2R Project Manager Fixed Assets
, you will play a key role in aligning global strategies with local compliance needs, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence in asset lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Drive standardization of Fixed Assets lifecycle processes across business entities;
- Define and document best practices for asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals;
- Collaborate with local and central teams to ensure processes are aligned and ready for digital implementation;
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations;
- Act as the main local point of contact for country-specific Fixed Assets accounting topics;
- Validate global solutions against local requirements and provide actionable feedback;
- Support change management and communication efforts with finance teams;
- Review and approve local exceptions or adaptations to global standards;
- Facilitate training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions as needed.
Desired education, expertise, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field;
- Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role or as an operational lead in Fixed Assets processes;
- Expertise in Fixed Asset accounting and full asset lifecycle management;
- Strong understanding of tax and regulatory implications of asset accounting (GAAP, IFRS);
- Experience with SAP FI-AA or equivalent ERP modules;
- Understanding of data migration and master data governance for assets;
- Familiarity with digital finance tools and transformation initiatives;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Additional skills and competencies:
- Strong process design and documentation capabilities
- Ability to bridge operational needs with technical/system requirements;
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Change management and training facilitation experience;
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail;
- Hands-on problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to translate local needs into actionable input for central project teams;
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is a plus.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall);
- Experience in automation, process optimization, or efficiency initiatives.
