Authorized Accountant (Contabil Autorizat / CECCAR certified) – Romania

We are looking for an Authorized Accountant (Contabil Autorizat / CECCAR certified) to join our Romanian operations and help ensure financial integrity and compliance, contributing to the company's growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

-Full cycle accounting under Romanian accounting law (including CECCAR requirements), preparing monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements.

-Tax & fiscal compliance: preparing and submitting tax returns, VAT, corporate tax, withholding, etc.

-Payroll and related social security, benefits, etc. for Romania staff.

-Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and banks.

-Financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, variance analysis.

-Maintain accounting records, ensure internal controls, assist in process improvements.

-Support local management with financial insights to guide decision making.

-Monthly reports for all active clients.

-Monthly preparation of all client invoices.

Requirements

-Active Authorized Accountant (CECCAR certified)—mandatory.

-At least 3-5 years of accounting experience in Romania (ideally in marketing / advertising / agency services or similar industries).

-Strong expertise in Romanian fiscal & accounting legislation, local statutory reporting.

-Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERPs (e.g. Saga, WinMentor, SAP, or comparable).

-Fluency in Romanian; excellent command of English (for internal/external reporting).

-High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines.

-Good team player; able to work independently when needed.
