About Flutter UKI
Flutter UK & Ireland are the UKI region of Flutter Entertainment. They unite a dozen brands including powerhouses Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and Sky Betting & Gaming, bringing together hundreds of teams and thousands of colleagues, who create trusted entertainment for millions of customers every week.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for providing high quality analytical expertise, that supports the insight and smooth execution of key product initiatives and projects.
This role also consists of supporting the growth and development of the wider team through such things as coaching and mentoring, as well as providing direction and guidance to other Product Owners. This is a highly collaborative role, working across
multiple teams, disciplines, to understand business problems and translate these to business outcomes through the early stages of discovery and validation, as well as supporting delivery of projects as the requirements lead throughout the lifecycle.
You will have a bias for action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive the product experience and add value for our customers and our business.
Your exceptional communication skills will be key, adapting to a high paced environment and constant interactions with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- In depth understanding of product/commercial needs and how these are translated into functional and technical requirements
- Elicit and validate requirements from a broad range of stakeholders, refining them into user stories for tech teams
- Understand and balance commercial needs against technical requirements and capabilities.
- Conducts analysis on complex projects involving multiple teams across several business areas
- Utilise your deep understanding of the business and analytical techniques (e.g. value stream, strategy, scoping, feasibility, and Just in Time analysis) to drive value from solutions, diagnose problems, and understand needs, which aide in effective portfolio management, planning and delivery
- Challenge requirements that do not fit the owned product's general strategy or conflict with the needs of other stakeholders/other product areas, seeking to resolve and reach mutual outcomes
- Identify dependencies between requirements and product areas, while ensuring transparency for all parties
- Identify risks and raise concerns in due time where applicable; ensuring mitigation options are clearly articulated
- Where applicable, maintain a refined and prioritised backlog of user stories for projects with multiple dependencies, retaining focus on the agreed scope of the iteration
- Understand the dependencies between technology components and how they combine to deliver solutions to the end consumer and to the business
- Work closely with Product Managers to ensure initiatives continue to align with the overall portfolio strategy
- Work closely with the Enterprise Analysts to understand the impact of initiatives across the portfolio
- Contribute to operational readiness processes for new releases and provide product training to stakeholders
Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., PSD2, SCA, PCI DSS) and their impact on payment product design.
Ability to define and prioritise product features that optimise payment success rates, reduce friction, and improve cost efficiency - Proven extensive experience within a similar Product Analysis focused role.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with stakeholders at any level within the business and third-party providers.
- Strong experience in defining business requirements within a technology organization.
- Experience working within a multi-product organization.
- Experience in working closely with stakeholders from all levels of the business and influencing decision making through proactive suggestions & challenge.
- Ability to relate to both business, design & technical specialists.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Experience in working across Agile methodologies
- An analytical and inquisitive mindset with the ability to translate business cases and analysis into tangible outcomes.
- Naturally collaborative, with a desire to be part of a highly successful team rather than just a highly successful individual.
