Job Description

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Infineon, you will serve as the key technical contact and topic owner for our automotive customers. In this role, you'll provide expert guidance and support across a wide range of analog products, from sensors to low and high voltage power solutions. By collaborating closely with customers, you will support system designs from initial concept to production release, ensuring success throughout all phases of their development projects. In your new role you will:

  • Contribute to the development of modern electronic systems and their implementation in the innovative automotive market
  • Be the first level technical contact for our key automotive customers in Europe , with a focus on analog sub-systems based on all Infineon products in automotive applications
  • Work proactively on analog sub-system solutions for our customer's applications together with the entire European FAE Team, the Account Managers, the product experts and the different business lines
  • Be the expert for Infineon product solutions in automotive applications, support our customers in their system design phase and during the evaluation of our products
  • Discuss innovative solution and application approaches with our customer development teams and collaborate with our design teams and concept engineering to drive optimized and new product solutions and technologies
  • Validate the application on-site together with the customer
  • Prepare and execute customer presentations and product / application training

Your Profile

You are a team player with strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration who thrives on building relationships with customers and colleagues. You are adaptable and flexible , able to navigate evolving requirements in the automotive market, while maintaining a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and risks. With a problem-solving mindset and a focus on customer needs, you take initiative and work autonomously, always ready to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional results and share your expertise to drive success.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering , Physics , Semiconductor Technology or similar fields
  • Gained experiences in the semiconductor and automotive industries
  • Specific knowledge on analog products from sensors to low and high voltage power products
  • Experience in hardware development and development tools like PSpice and thermal simulations
  • Strong drive, pro-active and autonomous behavior , as well as analytical capabilities and very complex situation solving
  • Openness for regular business travels in Romania and other European destinations from time to time
  • Fluent Romanian and good English communication skills
  • Passion for automotive technologies and a high interest in future CO2 emission free and autonomous mobility solutions
