What you'll do

• OSGi Bundle Development: Design and implement highly efficient and scalable Java/OSGi services and bundles to support business logic and custom AEM functionality.
• JCR Interaction: Work directly with the JCR (Java Content Repository) using Apache Sling and Jackrabbit Oak to structure and manage content, metadata, and user data securely.
• AEM Workflows: Develop and customize complex AEM Workflows for content approval, asset processing, and multi-step customer journeys.
• AEM Core Components: Extend, customize, and integrate with AEM Core Components and Sling Models to power the front-end user experience.
• Secure Integration: Implement secure, high-performance API integrations between AEM and the client's internal enterprise systems (e.g., policy systems, CRM, identity management) using REST/SOAP protocols.
• Security & Compliance: Apply secure coding practices at all times to prevent common web vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF). Ensure all data handling and storage complies with GDPR and Swiss financial security regulations.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize backend code and queries to minimize execution time and memory footprint, contributing to overall platform performance and stability.
• Testing: Develop comprehensive unit tests (using JUnit/Mockito) for all Java services and backend logic.
• Code Review: Participate in and actively contribute to code review processes, ensuring technical design and coding standards set by the AEM Technical Lead are rigorously followed.

What you need to be successful

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on, professional experience in Java/J2EE development, with at least 2+ years dedicated specifically to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x or AEM as a Cloud Service) backend development.
• Technical Expertise: Expert proficiency in Java, OSGi, Apache Sling, JCR, and Sling Models.
• Web Services: Proven experience in designing and consuming secure RESTful/SOAP web services.
• Tools & Process: Proficiency with Maven, Git, and working within a structured Agile (Scrum) development environment.
• Security Context: Demonstrated experience applying security standards and best practices in a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, or healthcare).
• Language: Fluency in English is mandatory.
