For our
railway rehabilitation project in Arad
, we are looking for a motivated
QS Assistant
to join our team.

Role Overview

The QS Assistant will support the Quantity Surveying team in preparing and monitoring project costs, contracts, and payments. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills in
AutoCAD
and
Excel
, and the ability to work with surveyor data to calculate quantities accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of
    cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports
    .
  • Support the preparation of
    contracts, tender documents, and bills of quantities
    .
  • Track and record
    design changes, construction variations, and scope adjustments
    .
  • Manage and verify
    subcontractor payments
    .
  • Work with surveyor data and drawings to calculate quantities in
    AutoCAD
    .
  • Maintain accurate records and support project reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers to ensure cost and contractual alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with
    AutoCAD
    (e.g.,
    topographers, designers with site experience
    )
    and Excel
    (mandatory).
  • Ability to read drawings and calculate quantities accurately.
  • Previous experience in QS is an advantage but
    not required
    .
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Fluency in Romanian; English – conversational.
