We are currently seeking passionate Android Developer who enjoy the challenge of applying their skills in the following areas:

• Diving into issues, coming directly from our customers all over the world, trying to understand the business and software logic and come up with software solutions.
• Understanding business requirements, directly from our customers or from internal stakeholders at ABS and translating these into software solutions.
• Upholding and actively contributing to extending good software practices. This ranges from requirements engineering to Agile way-of-working, from automating regression testing to service-oriented architecture.
• Proactive knowledge sharing is very important at ABS. Good communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders is vital and we expect and provide technical mentoring for all software specialists.
• Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle.
• Analyze business requirements to design software solutions.
• Design and develop Android applications according to software specifications and coding standards. Develop new software modules and enhance existing ones to meet business requirements.
• Investigate and resolve software issues reported by end-users or internal stakeholders.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java.
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance of the software solutions.
• Identify bottlenecks and software problems and find solutions to these problems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure compliance with coding standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation. Contribute to the knowledge base and share best practices with the development team.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Java software development.

Education and qualifications

• Higher education, University
• English fluent
• Strong knowledge of Java and Android SDK
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• A background in building Android apps for a wide range of devices
• A track record of collaborating on cross-functional software projects
• Knowledge of REST and Retrofit
• Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, JDBC, SQL (Oracle), Jetpack libraries
• Knowledge of Kotlin programming language;
• Write maintainable, clean, and performance-oriented code – familiar with SonarQube
• Source code versioning tools: Git / Bitbucket
• CI/CD Tools: Maven, Ant, Ivy, Jenkins, Docker, Nexus
• Working with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban), JIRA, Confluence
