Overview

ZeroBounce is seeking an innovative and versatile AI Applications Engineer to join our forward-thinking team. This role is perfect for a developer passionate about experimenting with artificial intelligence to create novel, high-impact applications. You will be empowered to research, design, and build cutting-edge AI prototypes and integrate them into functional web-based solutions using Python.

As part of the AI innovation track, you will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to explore what's possible with AI, from building custom models and algorithms to deploying web-based experimental tools that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and build experimental AI-powered tools and applications from the ground up.
  • Develop custom machine learning algorithms and apply AI techniques to solve practical business problems
  • Prototype and deploy web applications that integrate AI functionality using modern web development frameworks.
  • Use Python (including libraries like FastAPI, NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, or PyTorch) for data manipulation, modeling, and backend logic.
  • Collaborate across software engineering, product, and data science teams to bring experimental features to life.
  • Keep up with emerging AI research and propose innovative ideas and experiments that push the boundaries of what AI can do in production.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI application development and testing.
  • Write clean, scalable code and conduct code reviews for quality and performance.
  • Document your prototypes, experiments, and system designs clearly for both technical and business stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience building AI or ML-powered applications
  • Strong Python programming skills and experience using frameworks such as Django, Fast API or Flask
  • Web development experience (JavaScript/React or other front-end tech)
  • Working knowledge of ML libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to iterate rapidly in an R&D-like setting and transition successful experiments into production.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with generative AI technologies, NLP or computer vision
  • Comfortable working with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems.
  • Understanding of software architecture patterns and RESTful API design.
  • Exposure to prompt engineering, embeddings, or fine-tuning language models is a plus.
