Job Description:

Location: Remote (EU)

Contract details: 12 months/freelance/SRL or PFA

We are looking for a Medior AI / Platform Engineer to support the implementation of Databricks Mosaic AI into a governed, multi-tenant, self-service platform.

In this role, you will work on integrating AI capabilities and automation workflows into a scalable platform that empowers data scientists and developers to build, evaluate, and deploy AI models efficiently and securely. Youll collaborate closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to operationalize key AI services and ensure best practices in MLOps and model governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the integration and deployment of Databricks Mosaic AI components within a multi-tenant environment.

  • Develop and maintain AI agent workflows and assist in agentic system design and evaluation.

  • Implement data preparation, feature engineering, and model experimentation pipelines using Python (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.).

  • Contribute to MLflow-based tracking and model versioning for experiments and deployments.

  • Assist in evaluating and optimizing AI models using AutoML and agent evaluation tools.

  • Collaborate with platform teams to ensure secure, containerized model deployment and smooth CI/CD integration.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts for automation, observability, and system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Practical experience with Databricks Mosaic AI and AI agent development.

  • Strong Python programming skills, including pandas and scikit-learn.

  • Familiarity with MLflow for model management and tracking.

  • Basic understanding of AutoML tools and agent evaluation frameworks.

  • Knowledge of containerization and model deployment concepts (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs).

  • Good understanding of machine learning workflows and MLOps principles.

  • Team-oriented, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
