Our client, a global leading supplier in plastic injection molding, tooling and manufacturing, is recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their business in Romania.

General description:

• Results-driven Sales Engineer with a strong technical background in plastic injection molding, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  

• Extensive experience in B2B sales, preferential experience in hot runner systems, mould & dies accessories, and raw materials. Adept at identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 & 2 suppliers, and injection moulding companies. Proven track record of hunting new customers, generating leads, and increasing market share in Hungary

Key Expertise:

Business Development & Hunting:

• Skilled in prospecting, lead generation, and new account acquisition.
  

• Strong networking abilities with mold makers, injection molders, and manufacturing companies.
  

Technical Sales & Solution Selling:

• Deep understanding of hot runner systems, mold components, and high-performance raw materials used in tooling and injection molding.
  

• Ability to consult customers on process optimization and cost savings.
  

Market Knowledge:

• Extensive experience working with automotive, packaging, medical, and electronics industries in Hungary.
  

• Strong connections in the manufacturing ecosystem.
  

Account Management & Growth:

• Ability to transition newly acquired customers into long-term business relationships through excellent service and technical support.
  

Negotiation & Closing:

• Experienced in managing complex sales cycles, delivering value-based proposals, and closing deals in a competitive market.
  

Experience & Industry Background:

• Field Sales or Technical Sales Engineer at a leading hot runner system supplier (e.g., Husky, Synventive, Ewikon, Mold-Masters).
  

• Sales Representative for mold accessories & components (e.g., DME, Meusburger, Strack Norma, Hasco).
  

• Sales Engineer in raw materials (e.g., high-performance plastics, engineering polymers, resins) supplying to mold makers and injection molding companies.
  

• Experience selling to automotive Tier 1 & 2 suppliers, medical device manufacturers, electronics, and packaging.
  

Education & Skills:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Technology, or a related technical field.
  

• Fluent in Romanian & English (other languages are a plus, for example Italian)
  

• Based in western part of Romania (from Timisoara to the Hungarian border), willing to travel extensively within the country, with occasional travel to neighbouring countries.
