YOUR ROLE

Your role is to provide medical leadership, insight and strategy to Swixx and its Partners' and cross-functional teams on local and international level, and deliver medical activities in adherence to internal and external requirements. You will have a pivotal role in communication and collaboration with key Rare Disease experts.

This would involve and will not be limited to key responsibilities such as:

• Good understanding and full compliance with all relevant Swixx and its Partner companies' applicable policies and procedures, national and EU legislation/ regulations.
• Effective cooperation and communication with Swixx corporate functions and its Partners.
• Supports implementation of Swixx and its Partners' medical strategies, prepares and implements medical plans including medical budget planning and management, delivers approved medical activities.
• Provides medical and scientific insights to Swixx and its Partners' medical and cross-functional teams on local and international level.
• Supports cross-functional teams to ensure patient-focused activities, including timely responses to specific internal and external requests to discuss specific situations and challenges, provides medical affairs support to all stakeholders.
• Participating in business development projects as requested by senior management and BD group. Provides medical strategic recommendations for pipeline and life cycle management programs.
• Provides medical review of Investigator Sponsored Research proposals and synopsis before submission according to instructions from Swixx or its Partners'.
• Ensures that country medical affairs develop and continuously maintains the highest scientific and medical expertise in all relevant therapeutic areas/ products and is acknowledged both internally and externally.
• Develops relationships with relevant medical groups (e.g. research centers, hospitals, professional associations, patient advocacy groups) in support of Swixx and its Partners' objectives.
• Establishes and enhances strategic partnerships with centers of excellence, key medical and academic institutions and KOLs in areas of scientific interest and serves as conduit for exchange of scientific information between medical community and Swixx or its Partners'.
• Identifies, elaborates and supports implementation of KOLs development plans.
• Planning, designing and managing medical advisory boards and gathering medical insights from regional/national advisory boards, supporting international advisory boards.
• Supports activities with Payers and contributes to identification of evidence for solutions to address data gaps in dossiers and pharmacoeconomic models.
• Participates in reimbursement projects by contributing to the development of access and reimbursement strategy from a medical standpoint and to deliver key medical activities aligned with the tactical access plan (i.e. medical content of reimbursement dossiers, medical presentation to health authorities, KOL engagement to discuss medical content of reimbursement activities).
• Provides input to clinical development (clinical study feasibility, support effective study implementation and ongoing management, including disease registries), local studies or data gathering and any relevant medical or medical-marketing programs (surveys, collaboration with academies, diagnostic programs, and alike), if needed.
• Leads the implementation of medical practices to assess new indications, the treating community, patient pathways, identifying patients for clinical research and to develop a thorough understanding of the disease area and local healthcare system.

YOUR PROFILE

Education

• M.D. degree, alternatively university degree in pharmacy or life sciences, provided that you have sufficient work experience in medical affairs in pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Experience

• Not less than 5 years medical experience in pharmaceutical industry or any combination of education and experience which would provide necessary skills and qualifications.
• Demonstrated strong management of relationships with HCPs

Knowledge and expertise

• Familiarity with industry standards, codes and relevant legislation, including regulatory requirements and standards.
• Knowledge of healthcare environment, general medicine and some specialty or disease area of Swixx focus, pharmacology and clinical development.
• Fluent in official national language of the country/ countries, and English.
• Advanced literacy on Microsoft Office applications.
• Readiness for traveling on business purposes.
