Drive the development, procurement, and performance of the wine product category, ensuring alignment with commercial strategy and customer demands, while maintaining product quality and supplier relationships.
Preferred Qualifications & Profile:
- Experience in procurement for minimum 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of wine varieties, certifications, and market dynamics.
- Analytical mindset with commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the category strategy, aligning with company goals and market trends.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, product innovations, and customer feedback specific
- Identify and onboard new suppliers; build long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and design teams to define packaging, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Track product lifecycle and propose actions for slow-moving or high-potential items.
- Coordinate sourcing activities and ensure alignment with quality and certification standards in wine.
- Participate in wine fairs, tastings, and industry events to stay updated and identify opportunities.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure contract compliance.
- Maintain strong collaboration with the Buyer for operational execution (order placement, logistics, documentation).
- Define yearly and quarterly objectives for the wine category and monitor KPIs.
