Introduction
We are now looking for a Sourcing manager for East Europe, located at Romania (or countries decided later) to join the Procurement team of Metso Aggregates Equipment Business Area.
As a Sourcing manager for East Europe, you will have the responsibility for the sourcing and supplier management of defined suppliers in the responsibility area. Your duty is to secure growth, competitiveness, sufficient supplier network and sustainability at Aggregates Business Area. We are aiming to strengthening our sourcing actions and suppliers network at East Europe and your main purpose is source new suppliers from Romania and countries close by. You will be responsible for new suppliers sourcing of the steel fabrications, components and castings & forgings within the Aggregates business area. You will also lead sourcing strategy development, deployment and supplier management as to deliver maximized total cost of ownership savings and to secure competitiveness.
You will maintain and improve supplier relationships and be responsible for supplier's quality and delivery performance. You will manage existing suppliers and their contracts and negotiate new contracts when needed.
You will ensure compliance of our procurement policies and develop procurement's performance by maximizing business results. You will work closely with category responsible persons in our supply chain, factory sourcing teams, engineering, product management, R&D teams within Metso.
This role requires travelling up to 50% of the work schedule.
Job office location is in Romania (or countries decided later).
To Succeed
To succeed in this role, you should already have several years of experience in procurement and sourcing, preferably in an international business environment. You have a good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to steel fabrication, welding, assembly, machining, and foundries is a key factor for success in this role, as it is essential to perform professionally.
It is an advantage to have previous experience as a Supervisor in a metal fabrication workshop. Therefore, strong experience in this area from a sourcing, manufacturing, or quality perspective is highly valuable. Experience in a similar industrial environment in sourcing or category management is also a great advantage.
You are able to lead and motivate people in a positive way to achieve high-performing results.
You are also interested in manufacturing, technical details and industrial business. Ideally, you have participated in agreement negotiations earlier and are familiar with contract management. You have the ability to make strategic analysis, planning, recommendations and drive those into results with your colleagues but independently as well.
Your workstyle is self-reliant, accountable and determined. You have an analytical mindset and you do not hesitate in reaching ambitious targets. Your collaboration and communication skills are great, and you have convincing negotiating and influencing skills.
We also value:
- Master's or Barchelor's degree Mechanical Sciences.(e.g. in engineering or in business)
- FFluency in English language
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods related to steel fabrications and/or castings.
- Good IT skills with MS office tools and ERP systems
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the work time
