SQL Developer

Role Overview:

We're looking for a skilled SQL Developer to join our team If you're passionate about writing efficient SQL queries, optimizing databases, and creating robust reports, this role is for you. You'll play a key part in ensuring database performance, reliability, and scalability, while collaborating with developers to implement best practices. Experience with MySQL/MariaDB, reporting tools like BIRT or JasperReports, and strong attention to detail will make you a great fit.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Design and create SQL-based reports using tools such as BIRT or JasperReports.
• Design, implement, and maintain stable, reliable, and high-performance databases.
• Collaborate with application developers to optimize in-application SQL statements and establish best practices.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide proactive recommendations to prevent recurring problems.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and technical specifications.
• Manage common database procedures including upgrades, backups, recovery, and data migration.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL development, particularly with MySQL/MariaDB databases.
• Experienced in using advanced SQL techniques (joins, triggers, indexing etc).
• Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with performance tuning, indexing strategies, data modeling, and schema design.
• Experience with modern relational databases and database design best practices.
• Familiarity with version control tools, especially Git.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with using reporting tools such as BIRT or JasperReports.
• Experienced in financial systems or the banking sector.
