Frontend Developer with Liferay

Who we are

We are looking for a talented Front-End Developer with a strong background in modern web technologies and experience with Liferay DXP as a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging user interfaces and ensuring a seamless user experience across our web applications. You will collaborate closely with back-end developers and designers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Design and implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Utilize modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, ) to build dynamic web applications.
• Work with Liferay DXP to create and customize themes, layouts, and portlets.
• Ensure that front-end components integrate smoothly with Liferay DXP back-end services.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design wireframes and mockups into functional user interfaces.
• Work closely with back-end developers to define and consume RESTful APIs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement best practices for front-end performance and accessibility.
• Conduct thorough testing of applications across various browsers and devices.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Maintain clear documentation of code, processes, and design decisions.
• Contribute to project documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

What you'll bring along

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in front-end development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one major front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, ).
• Familiarity with Liferay DXP is a strong plus.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, LESS).
• Knowledge of build tools and task runners (e.g., Webpack, Gulp).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Liferay certification or relevant training is a plus.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
