Summary

You'll be the cross-functional quality "first responder" who raises overall release confidence for casino products and acts as a pragmatic bridge between Product, Engineering, Ops, and Marketing. Beyond classic ticket QA, you'll proactively hunt issues on live sites, keep critical integrations healthy (games, payments, bonuses, antifraud), and maintain light automation to catch regressions early. You'll also pick up a handful of "product ops" tasks around content/localisation workflows and provider/game launches.

This role replaces a broad "panic button" profile. Workload can flex with roadmap volume (guide below). Suitable for a near‑full‑time contractor who also tackles adjacent QA/ops work.

Compensation

Compensation depends on seniority, scope, and location within the European time zone and is benchmarked against the industry norm.

What you'll do (responsibilities)

Release assurance across casino products:

• Test new game integrations, payment flows, bonuses, and back‑office tools end‑to‑end to ensure smooth operation.

• Perform sanity, smoke, and regression testing across staging and production (risk‑based).

• Run cross‑browser and mobile checks using real devices or emulators; validate responsive behaviour and critical paths.

• Conduct basic API testing (e.g., Postman), read/validate JSON payloads, and verify state changes.

• Investigate incidents by inspecting Kibana logs and correlating with monitoring/alerts and user reports.

• Identify, document, and triage discrepancies, defects, and performance issues; work with Developers, Product, and Ops to resolve fast.

• Monitor post‑launch KPIs and customer feedback; feed findings into iterative improvements.

Automation & tooling (lightweight)

• Maintain and expand Ghost Inspector scripts (UI changes, stability, coverage) and basic alerting/ops automations.

• Stabilise existing automatic spinning tests and similar checks.

• Create/maintain pragmatic scripts (e.g., bonus queue crediting) where helpful; flag when a proper dev spec is warranted.

Provider & release operations:

• QA new game providers at a provider‑level and ensure integration quality before go‑live.

• Support game transfers and coordinate with Release/Ops for smooth rollouts.

• Build/maintain an overview of providers suitable for highest‑multiplier competitions; note any to avoid.

• Study performance of new releases and suggest future release priorities.

Integrations & vendor management

• Verify integrations with game aggregators, payment gateways, and antifraud tools.

• Raise/follow up tickets with external providers when issues or clarifications are needed; keep a clear audit trail.

Marketing, content & localisation support (light):

• Prepare systems for new features (e.g., defaults for game rankings).

• Help clean up Contentful (CMS) ahead of migrations; perform pragmatic data hygiene.

• Assist with localisation workflows.

Internal enablement & knowledge

• Act as a calm, helpful first‑line investigator for "how does this work?" questions; route to the right owner when needed.

• Write clear runbooks (pending issues, Ghost Inspector usage, new‑provider QA checklist, free‑spins status, etc.).

• Keep up with tagged JIRA cards to avoid backlog; document pending tickets for handover when relevant.

Proactive site QA:

• Regularly sweep live sites for anomalies; gather inputs from Product, Dev, Marketing, and third-party providers; propose options and follow‑through.

Qualities we're looking for:

• Systems thinker: sees end‑to‑end flows across multiple services and vendors.

• Pragmatic & resourceful: knows when a "hack" is fine and when to ask for a proper spec.

• Investigator's mindset: loves reproducing edge cases and reading logs to get to root causes.

• Calm under pressure: reliable "panic button" during incidents; communicates clearly.

• Crisp communicator: excellent bug reports, concise updates, and vendor follow‑ups.

• Collaborative: comfortable working across Product, Dev, Ops, Marketing, and liaising with external parties.

• Ownership bias: keeps the queue tidy, pushes for resolution, documents the path.

Required skills & experience

• 3–6+ years in iGaming QA (iGaming experience is mandatory)

• Hands‑on with sanity/smoke/regression strategies and risk‑based testing in staging & production.

• API testing basics (e.g., Postman) and reading JSON responses.

• Comfortable with Kibana (or similar) to search/analyse logs for incident investigation.

• Familiar with Ghost Inspector (or similar no/low‑code UI automation) and browser dev tools.

• Experience with cross‑browser & mobile testing (real devices/emulators).

• Confident with JIRA (tickets, workflows) and writing clear documentation (runbooks, guides).

• Working knowledge of casino product flows: bonuses, free spins, payments, KYC‑adjacent checks, game providers/aggregators.

• Fluent in English

• All EZY Gaming hires are expected to have reasonable understanding of how to use AI tools to be productive in their role.

Nice to have:

• Basic scripting (JavaScript or Python) to enhance tests or small ops automations.

• Familiarity with Contentful (CMS) and Phrase (localisation) workflows.

• Exposure to payments and antifraud integrations and corresponding vendor processes.

• Comfort with simple SQL for sanity checks and data validation.

• Understanding of A/B testing and release/feature‑flag workflows.

• Additional language beyond English.
