About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Design & Validation Engineer to join our team and support the development of advanced EV powertrain systems. This role focuses on design validation, simulation, and compliance testing of EV inverters, DC-DC converters, and Battery Management Systems (BMS). You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure robust, efficient, and compliant product designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform design validation of EV inverters and DC-DC converters, including simulation, bench testing, and failure analysis.
  • Conduct WCCA (Worst Case Circuit Analysis) for automotive systems including DC-link capacitors, gate drivers, converters, and measurement circuits.
  • Select electronic components with a focus on cost optimization, performance, and reliability.
  • Design and review schematics ensuring EMI/EMC compliance (CISPR25, CISPR12, ISO 11452, ISO
  • Integrate EMI mitigation techniques (common mode chokes, ferrite beads, LC filters) and collaborate with PCB layout teams to prevent EMI issues.
  • Develop and simulate circuits (PSpice, LTSpice, Mathcad, Matlab/Simulink) for DC-DC converters and BMS applications.
  • Support BMS development, including schematic preparation, over-voltage/over-current protection, and functional test case creation.
  • Conduct bench-level debugging, root cause analysis, and validation testing for BMS and DC-DC converters.
  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation for ECU and power electronics systems.
  • Work with wireless communication technologies (BLE, Wi-Fi, LTE) integrated into automotive products.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in design validation and testing of EV inverters, DC-DC converters, and BMS systems.
  • Strong understanding of automotive EMI/EMC standards and mitigation techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Monte Carlo analysis, EVA simulations, and circuit-level testing.
  • Experience in preparing technical documentation and test specifications for ECUs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
