Systems Engineer/ Manager – Electrical

Position : Systems Engineer/ Manager – Electrical & Electronics/ Mechatronics

Experience : 7+ years of experience in Electrical and Electronics system design , preferably in automotive or EV domain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to construct the function and logical system design and development of lithium-ion LV battery pack for electric vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, thermal management, and structural integrity, with hands-on experience in the automotive or electric mobility sector.

Key responsibilities:

Lead system engineering requirement activities and necessary process steps for the defined project.

Elicitation of system level SYS.1 requirements and derive clear and detailed SYS.2 requirements from the same. (As per INCOSE guidelines).

Setup and manage requirements in applications tools – DNG/ JAMA/ Rhapsody or any other requirement management tool.

Clear understanding on the ASPICE process steps and the V-cycle concept.

Analyze the requirements, prioritize and define verification criteria for the system requirements.

Ensure consistent bi-directional traceability (up to customer / system requirements/ System Architecture and validation SYS.4 and SYS.5 test cases).

Clear understanding of system architecture and demonstrate skill sets on constructing various SYSML diagrams including – Functional architecture, Logical architecture, System Context diagram and Use-case diagrams in application tools namely – Cameo System Modeler/ Rhapsody.

Familiarity with developing a product in an ASPICE environment and Familiarity with ISO 26262 with fundamental understanding FUSA (Functional Safety) activities including – HARA, DFMEA and ASIL level assessment activities.

Familiarity with creating project tasks through JIRA tickets and drive throughout till the resolution of the task with necessary evidences and end with proper documented task closure.

Considerable skill set on understanding the engineering drawings and hardware schematics with basic knowledge on electrical and electronic hardware components.

Support on developing and driving all system level activities SYS.1, SYS.2 and SYS.3 with clear baselining after implementation.

Conduct requirement peer reviews between software, hardware and validation engineers for feasibility and understanding the impact on operating environment.

Attend external ASPICE certification audit (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3) with strongly demonstrated skills on explaining requirements and processes that are followed to achieve the targeted ASPICE level.

Support on generating weekly and monthly project reports with the quantified measurable progress on the project deliverables and drive weekly meetings with customer on the project updates.

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience in the System Engineering field, with at least 5 years in battery pack or EV systems.

Proficiency in requirements management tools – IBM rationales preferably DNG and JAMA.

Strong understanding of automotive EV and ICE/ Hybrid vehicle components and their functionalities.

Experience with DFMEA, ASPICE processes, working in VDA standard environment.

Basic knowledge of battery cell formats (cylindrical, prismatic, pouch).

Familiarity with automotive product development lifecycle and validation protocols.

Excellent and clear communication and project management skills.
