This position requires on-site presence 3 days per week (Bucharest office).

Then what?

You will join one of our client's team that supports software engineers by migrating work environments and maintaining a suite of engineering tools and cloud hosting platforms such AWS, Azure or internal cloud solutions.

As a DevOps Technical Lead, you will guide the team in its technical roadmap, drive automation and cloud initiatives, and ensure reliable support for engineering environments while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a distributed DevOps team within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and ensure best practices across cloud and DevOps initiatives
  • Maintain and support engineering environments
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and related tools (Artifactory, SonarQube, etc.)
  • Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code practices using Ansible and Terraform
  • Support containerization initiatives with Docker and orchestration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Provide scripting solutions (Python, Bash) to improve workflows and automation
  • Ensure efficient handling of support activities (tickets, incidents, Jira, ServiceNow) without on-call or overtime
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading DevOps teams
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure IaaS and AKS (mandatory)
  • Proven experience with DevOps tools: GitLab / GitLab CI, Artifactory, SonarQube
  • Strong automation and IaC expertise (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Containerization experience with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Scripting skills in Python and Bash
  • Experience with support activities (tickets, incidents, Jira, ServiceNow)

Nice to Have:

  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA / CKAD)
  • Microsoft Azure AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
  • Microsoft Azure AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert)
