About the team:

Our department's vision is to build a Data-Driven IONOS Group. Our mission is to connect AI and BI, evolve our platforms, and empower our customers.

As the central provider of the BI platform for corporate, CTO topics, and state-of-the-art AI solutions, we support data-driven decision-making across the IONOS Group.

Taking these strategic objectives, the team focuses on the white spots in our CTO area, which can be optimized with modern analytics abilities.

The team fulfills the full stack development lifecycle over each of the Plan, Build, and Run responsibilities. This means we engineer requirements, develop, test, and deploy our deliverables by always staying in close touch with our stakeholders.

Our platform portfolio consists of a full stack Microsoft SQL Server landscape, including SSIS, SSAS, SQL Servers, and PowerBI (Cloud), an Open-Source BI-Platform based on Postgres and PowerBI as analytics frontend, as well as a big data platform based on our own IONOS cloud, S3, Kubernetes, Trino, and other open-source components.

On a functional project level as Business Intelligence team we are responsible for delivering insights on different data sources for our CTO area as well as the Information Security division to have an analytical overview on our 32 operated data centers with thousands of managed servers and to keep a strong eye on the technical or security measures and processes the group is taking in action.

Also we support the other Data Solutions teams with knowledge and experience of Data Warehouse backend and BI frontend development, software engineering, application management and operations regarding their challenging projects, products and platforms.

What we'd like from you:

• Confident handling of Linux systems and environments;
• Practical experience with networking concepts and technologies;
• At least 3 years of practical experience with Python programming and related frameworks;
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies;
• Knowledge of CI/CD technologies;
• Analytical and creative mindset with a structured, team-oriented way of working;
• Open communication style and ability of interacting with colleagues at all levels of the organization;
• High level of initiative, quick comprehension, creativity and enthusiasm for exciting tasks;
• Affinity for familiarizing yourself with complex topics and a structured approach to implementation.

Main responsibilities:

• The focus is on the operations part of our various platforms as well as their further development;
• First point of contact for all topics related to the operation of applications, like data pipelines or platform-related infrastructure processes;
• Basic requirements gathering and analysis for the implementation of additional platform services;
• Coordination with internal/external stakeholders within the organization for solution engineering or ensuring operations;
• Monitoring the operational processes for which you are responsible;
• Continuous and independent further development of operational process definitions;
• Collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines and levels of experience.

We appreciate
