System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and support of VMware environments. You will be part of a distributed team of 10-20 senior engineers and architects located in Germany and Romania. This role offers a unique blend of operational duties, project-based work, and opportunities for career development.

A Day in the Life: Your daily routine will involve a mixture of proactive and reactive tasks, including:

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues within vCenter and other VMware technologies.
• Creating and configuring new environments for existing and new clients.
• Providing guidance and technical assistance to clients and other projects as needed.
• Handling incidents and following the established escalation process with vendors and other teams.

We are seeking a candidate with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Proven experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere.
• Proficiency in the command-line interface (CLI).
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux, Unix, Networking, VMware) are highly desirable.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with VMware NSX, networking and Terraform.

Communication Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and users.
• Excellent English language skills are required
