Role: SAP CX Commerce Cloud Backend Developer

The role:


We are looking for a SAP CX Commerce Cloud Backend Developer for our office in VASS BRASOV, who would join a team of open-minded and personable people.

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend components of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)-based e-commerce platforms.
  • Implement custom extensions, integrations, and services using Java, Spring, and Hybris frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and front-end developers to define technical solutions.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, performing code reviews and enforcing best practices.
  • Work on API design and development (REST, OCC, microservices).
  • Ensure adherence to clean code principles
  • Stay current with new features of SAP Commerce Cloud and recommend adoption where relevant.

And you?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3+ years in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, J2EE, and REST APIs.
  • Experience in SAP Commerce Cloud architecture (extensions, , impex, cron jobs, workflows, flexible search, caching, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of microservices, headless commerce, and modular architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
