Senior QA Engineer

The Geo Navigation team is building the future of maps and navigation for drivers and couriers. We are responsible for delivering a seamless, reliable turn-by-turn navigation solution that powers ride-hailing and delivery across our platform. This means tackling complex challenges like ensuring accuracy in dynamic traffic conditions, handling GPS drift in tough environments, designing clear driver and courier guidance, and supporting the migration of rider and courier maps to our in-house solution.

We work cross-functionally — backend, frontend, design, product, and QA — to ensure that navigation is not only functional, but trusted and adopted at scale. About the role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, quality, and performance of the mobile solutions that power the turn-by-turn navigation experience for our drivers and couriers. You'll design and execute test strategies, perform functional and regression testing, and help identify issues early to make sure our products are robust and delightful to use.

QA Engineers at Bolt usually gain exposure to backend systems as well within their first year, so this could be a great opportunity if you are keen to grow into a more full-stack quality role.

All engineers at Bolt share a strong product mindset, and as a QA Engineer you'll be an integral part of shaping our features and roadmap. You'll work closely with your Product Manager, Mobile Engineers, and the rest of the Geo Navigation team to anticipate issues before they arise, champion a culture of quality, and help deliver outstanding navigation experiences at scale.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

• Assist in testing product features at all stages of development to ensure quality and functionality.
• Perform release testing for our mobile app on both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate closely with developers to plan and execute testing strategies, identifying and resolving issues early in the development cycle.
• Work with Designers and Product Managers to review features and provide critical feedback for improving product design and usability.
• Support the team in keeping test documentation updated and maintaining a healthy, efficient test suite..

About you:

• You are experienced with manual testing of mobile applications in both Android and iOS.
• You have experience with REST API testing and a solid understanding of how applications communicate with servers.
• You are familiar with performing release testing in an agile environment with a constant release lifecycle.
• You value a good user experience.
• You enjoy collaborating closely with software engineers and you don't shy away from taking ownership of different tasks and supporting other teams.
