We are looking for:

A passionate and skilled Embedded Software Engineer (Contractor) to join our i.MX Systems Engineering team.

If you love operating systems, enjoy working close to the hardware, and have a passion for Linux kernel, u-boot, OP-TEE, and RTOS (Zephyr OS, FreeRTOS), this opportunity is for you.

What you will do:

  • Design and create customer-specific applications and system-level software solutions
  • Assist customers with software and hardware integration and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve design wins at key accounts
  • Develop demonstration systems showcasing hardware–software integration
  • Create application notes, user guides, and white papers to support developers and partners
  • Deliver technical presentations highlighting platform and technology features
  • Work closely with cross-geo teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and project delivery
  • Contribute to and engage with open-source communities (Linux, u-boot, OP-TEE, Zephyr OS, FreeRTOS)

What you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Telecommunications
  • Strong Linux development experience and proficiency in ANSI C programming
  • Proven experience with Linux kernel and firmware development
  • Hands-on experience in embedded software development on Cortex-A and Cortex-M architectures
  • Solid understanding of Embedded Security principles
