Visma's AI Engineering & Technology team is looking for an AI Tech Lead to accelerate the AI transformation in our product development. You'll join a team of technology specialists, driving how Visma's companies apply AI to deliver better products, faster.  

Why This Role Matters:

Generative AI and AI agents are not just tools—they are transforming how we design, build and run software. LLMs are the new Operating System with their own "CPU" (reasoning), "RAM" (context window), and "filesystem" (knowledge via retrieval systems). As AI Tech Lead, you'll be at the forefront of this transformation, helping product teams engineer and architect applications that run on this new OS.

The outcomes are faster delivery, higher quality—turning AI from experimentation into measurable business value and long-term transformation at Visma.  

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide teams through deep changes in how they develop, test, and operate software with AI across various tech stacks

    • Teach and help teams master practical competencies, establish strong engineering practices around prompt/context engineering, validation, ai-agent+human workflows, LLMOps (evaluation, monitoring, cost control, lifecycle management) and AI-native architecture.

    • Experiment with new use cases and redefined processes, identifying where AI creates real value and scaling those learnings across Visma

    • Act as a multiplier— inspire through demos, promote success stories and creative initiatives that help product teams deliver better and faster.

    What We're Looking For:

    • AI & Engineering Fluency: You have hands-on experience building with modern AI coding assistants / Agents (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Devin) and a forward-looking view of product development. You're proficient in areas like AI agent ecosystems, LLMOps and the principles of building AI-native architectures.

    • Software engineering: Strong background in software development, best practices and engineering principles.

    • Excellent Communicator: Skilled at inspiring and teaching diverse audiences in a large organization.

    • Strategic & creative: Ability to balance big-picture strategy with creative, practical initiatives that deliver results.
