About the Role

Phi Partners is supporting a leading global investment bank with a strong presence across EMEA, Asia, and the Americas. With a legacy of innovation and deep expertise in financial markets, the institution operates across investment banking, asset management, and trading. Their technology-driven approach underpins critical functions in risk, finance, and operations, making them a key player in the evolution of modern capital markets. You will be joining the bank's Risk Technology function, which supports the Global Market Risk platforms, including regulatory initiatives such as FRTB, as well as core risk analytics, stress testing, and exposure management. The team plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and performance of risk systems used by front office, risk managers, and regulators. Phi Partners is already engaged with this team and is looking to add an additional Quality Assurance Analyst to help meet increased delivery demands, particularly around automation and non-functional testing as the programme expands.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse functional and technical requirements to define relevant test scenarios and case
  • Perform functional/manual testing on complex financial applications used for risk analytics
  • Design, maintain, and execute automated test scripts with a structured and scalable approach
  • Conduct large data testing and validation using SQL in a Linux environment
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Insomnia
  • Contribute to CI/CD testing workflows using Jenkins and Git
  • Create and maintain test packs, and clearly document results and defects
  • Track and report defects using tools such as JIRA (with Zephyr or equivalent)
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and QA colleagues to ensure quality standards across releases

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience within a structured software development environment, with proven knowledge and application of structured testing concepts, methodologies and tools. Financial experience is highly preferable.
  • Strong programming experience with Python OR C#
  • Hands on UI automation using the tools such as UFT/LeanFT is a plus.
  • Should create test packs and execute test scenarios/cases and identify bugs/issues.
  • Strong hands-on structured approach towards automation and all aspects of non-functional testing (capacity, latency, scalability thresholds, performance, DR, Failover etc.)
  • Working knowledge of relational database technologies and SQL
  • Demonstrated command and experience working with Test and Defect Management/Workflow tools (e.g., HP Quality Center, Selenium, BDD, TDD, Cucumber, Jenkins, Jira)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g. Jenkins, Git)
