Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking on behalf of our client, a highly experienced and strategic financial leader to oversee the financial operations of a diversified group active in retail, fashion, cosmetics, and wellness. This role encompasses hands-on financial management, portfolio oversight, tailored management reporting, family office responsibilities, and active involvement in strategic initiatives.

The CFO will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, bringing deep expertise in financial management, banking, and operational improvement, while also managing sensitive family office matters with the utmost discretion.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Control

• Lead accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management across the group.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all financial reporting and regulatory obligations.
• Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and confidential data.

Banking & Financing

• Serve as the primary contact with banks and financial institutions.
• Secure financing solutions and negotiate optimal terms for growth and operations.
• Structure funding strategies balancing expansion with risk management.

Portfolio & Investment Oversight

• Consolidate and report financial performance across portfolio companies.
• Provide actionable insights and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments with financial modeling and due diligence.

Annual & Periodic Reporting

• Deliver clear, insightful annual, quarterly, and monthly reports for stakeholders.
• Present financial results in a way that is accessible to both financial and non-financial audiences.

Family Office Management

• Oversee personal and family investments, real estate, and other assets.
• Manage banking, tax planning, trusts, and philanthropic initiatives with discretion.

Strategic Project Management

• Drive critical financial and cross-functional projects to completion.
• Support strategic growth opportunities, acquisitions, and efficiency initiatives.

Organizational Excellence

• Maintain structured, audit-ready financial systems.
• Implement scalable processes and tools for better decision-making.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and develop finance professionals, building organizational strength.
• Foster trust, transparency, and collaboration within leadership teams.

Confidentiality & Integrity

• Handle all corporate and family matters with discretion and integrity.
• Serve as a reliable and confidential advisor to the CEO, family, and leadership team.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent senior finance role in a complex, multi-entity organization (retail/consumer industries preferred).
• Strong expertise in banking relationships, financing structures, and capital management.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational and financial improvements across portfolios.
• Hands-on, strategic leader with excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in family office management or handling sensitive financial matters is a strong advantage.
• Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent) highly desirable.
• High integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Romanian and/or Greek is an advantage.
