Your Profile
- Provide safety leadership for the offshore HUC campaign. Daily walkdowns of the work. Daily engagement with the workforce. Take part in daily toolbox talks with the construction crew and weekly offshore safety meetings. Develop safety initiatives with EPC-1 contractor. Comply with all HSSE requirements of the project, company and legal requirements of working in Romania.
- Act as the primary QA/QC focal point offshore.
- Manage a group of agency inspectors across all disciplines. Ensure that resource is mobilised effectively, and coverage is provided for both day and night shifts of the contractor as necessary. Review competency of all agency personnel.
- Monitor offshore work to ensure that key aspects of the work completed onshore such as flange management and ATEX inspections are not invalidated by work offshore. Where necessary ensure that items disturbed offshore are re-inspected / re-tested.
- Liaise with the IVB to ensure he as suitable access to the work and is notified by the EPC1 contractor of all inspections. Raise any serious non-conformances highlighted by the IVB to project management.
- Undertake regular inspections of the offshore stores to ensure that construction consumables are maintained in the correct environmental control.
- Monitor and verify that all construction, installation, and commissioning activities comply with approved quality plans, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and project specifications.
- Ensure that all inspections and tests are properly executed, recorded, and witnessed as required by competent personnel.
- Review and verify contractor and vendor quality documentation, including material certificates, test reports, and inspection records.
- Identify and report non-conformances and ensure timely resolution and closure of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
- Ensure that all quality records are complete, traceable, and compiled into final dossiers for system handover.
- Actively participates in system walkdowns and punch listing from a quality perspective.
Your Tasks
- Diploma or local equivalent in mechanical, materials, welding engineering with thorough knowledge of NDT inspection techniques or relevant extensive experience in a similar offshore position / mega project. Previous experience working in projects with extensive ATEX equipment with responsibility for quality of the same. IRCA trained auditor with experience in auditing EPC Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
Relevant professional experience: more than 9 years' experience in Oil & Gas projects in international environment
Medical certificate Fit for working at Height/ Fit for working on platforms
- OPITO approved offshore medical certificate
- BOSIET certificate (for cold climate)
CAEBS training
Previous experience in a similar role on a major Oil & Gas Projects (essential)
- Experience with Platform, Pipeline, Subsea and general fabrication / structures (essential)
- Lead Auditor qualification by recognized industry body (preferred)
- Experience in root cause analysis techniques and implementation of a Risk based Quality programme
- Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with contractors at all levels.
- Good written communication skills
