Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial General Manager (GM) to lead our marketing agency through its launch and growth stages. This role combines strategic oversight and hands-on execution, requiring a true player-coach who can both guide a team and directly deliver results.The ideal candidate thrives in a start-up-like environment, is passionate about storytelling and has a proven track record in both team leadership and campaign delivery.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement the agency's overall marketing and growth strategy.
  • Build, coach, and lead a high-performing team across marketing functions (content, digital,events, partnerships).
  • Set clear KPIs, track progress, and ensure accountability.
  • Ensure consistency in chart of accounts, expense categorization, and income mapping across business units

Client Engagement & Delivery

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients.
  • Translate client needs into actionable marketing campaigns and growth strategies.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of services: content, branding, digital marketing, PR, and event support.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and onboard new clients in architecture, culture, heritage, and real estate sectors.
  • Develop service packages and pricing models tailored to evolving client needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing services with broader ecosystem goals

(publishing, investment, university).4. Operations & Management

  • Oversee agency operations, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Establish efficient workflows, reporting structures, and project management systems.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment.

Qualifications

Proven leadership experience (7+ years) in marketing, communications, or agency management.

Track record of building and managing teams; ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.

Strong background in brand development, digital marketing, and campaign execution.

Excellent relationship management skills; able to engage with clients at C-level and across

creative industries.

Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in fast-moving, growth-oriented settings.

Passion for architecture, culture, heritage, or design is a strong plus.

Ability to manage budgets, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results under pressure.
