We are looking for a
Transport Planner
to manage the planning and distribution of customer orders within our transport system, ensuring compliance with transport legislation and maintaining quality standards for our customer. Manage our own fleet of trucks and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Organizes the transit of goods to their destination in the best conditions, in compliance with the required quality and deadlines.
  • Schedule and optimize routes.
  • Optimization of transport costs.
  • Check the accompanying documents of the shipments.
  • Informs the customer of the status of each shipment and acts promptly in case the goods arrive late/damaged.
  • Track the transport until it reaches its destination.
  • Maintaining quality standards for customer service.
  • Finding the optimal solutions for carrying out transports and communicating the chosen solutions to customers.
  • Identifies and implements new procedures, depending on customer requests.
  • Responds promptly to requests.
  • Obtaining, verifying and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements.
  • Documenting and possessing knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of goods.
  • Informs the direct manager about any problem that arises during the transports he organizes and that could affect the relationship with customers or suppliers.
  • Has a polite attitude both towards colleagues and towards other people with whom he comes into contact within the company.

Requirements :

  • Experience in driver scheduling and truck dispatching, minimum 1-2 years;
  • Knowledge of transportation legislation;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and information-sharing skills;
  • Very good PC operating skills;
  • English language knowledge - intermediate/advanced level.
