RoPower Nuclear SA is the Romanian developer of Europe's first SMR (small modular reactor) nuclear power plant in Romania and is looking for a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team and play a key role in the strategic financial direction of the company.

This position will work closely with senior management and department heads, combining business insight, financial modeling, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Planning – Financial Model

  2. provide support for updating and maintaining the multi-year financial model based on various business scenarios and assumptions;

  3. verify financial indicators and results produced by the model;

  4. support strategic decision-making with reliable and insightful financial data.

  5. Forecasting, Budgeting & KPIs:

  6. develop and maintain accurate budgets and rolling forecasts;

  7. drive improvements in the budgeting and forecasting process;
  8. prepare short- and long-term cash flow projections;
  9. deliver monthly management reports;
  10. calculate and monitor key financial KPIs;
  11. perform monthly variance analysis and interpret key deviations;

  12. support department heads in increasing financial awareness and using financial insights to improve operations.

  13. Internal Control – Procedures

  14. provide support for internal and external audits;

  15. actively contribute to enhancing the financial internal control environment;
  16. identify and report internal control weaknesses;
  17. create, update, and communicate internal control procedures across teams.

Profile requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role;
  • strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and financial legislation;
  • strong ability to analyze complex financial information and deliver clear reports and projections;
  • advanced knowledge of finance principles and practices.
