AS400/Cobol Developer with Italian

Are you interested to join a growing team to work as an AS400 Developer?

You will be responsible for estimating, defining and developing features for new software or existing solutions on AS400 platform. You will be involved in a product development lifecycle based on Agile or/and Waterfall methodologies.

Key responsibilities:

Develop, test, and implement applications using Cobol and CLP languages on the AS400 platform.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.

Maintain and optimize existing applications to ensure their performance, reliability, and security.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions and improve development processes.

Resolve technical issues and provide user support, ensuring that all problems are promptly and efficiently addressed.

Document processes, changes made to applications and implement technical solutions.

Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to identify and implement innovative solutions.

Monitoring of job execution

Verification of the production and delivery of flows

Responsible of executing system checkups and being on call when needed

What we are looking for:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in AS400 platform and projects developments using Cobol/CLP

Advanced level of English and Italian

Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases, especially DB2 for AS400

Knowledge of the MQ framework

Knowledge of the AS-400 scheduler

Problem-solving with the ability to handle technical issues

Good communication and collaboration between team members in order to meet the objectives

Attention to detail and very good analytical skills

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Leasing products
