Who We Are
You will be working on a product that enhances quality processes and IT systems for internal manufacturing within a major automotive client. This role involves developing software solutions that support production control systems for various components, including exterior parts and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFK). The focus is on continuous improvement and ensuring high production quality across multiple global locations. The product aims to evolve a fragmented application landscape into a unified, modular technical platform, leveraging cloud-based technologies and microservices architecture to adapt to future production needs and integrate new initiatives in electric mobility.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with team members and customers in an agile environment to conceptualize and create stories.
  • Estimate and implement backlog items, ensuring adherence to project quality standards through unit tests and code reviews.
  • Proactively suggest technical improvements and engage in skill-building for both existing and emerging technologies.
  • Support the Operations team with development-related tasks.
  • Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven architectures as part of the service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Implement RESTful services for seamless integration and communication between components.
  • Participate in the design and development of cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Utilize monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to maintain system functionality and performance.
  • Engage in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline development processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Assist in the integration of IoT devices and platforms to enhance data collection and analytics capabilities.

What You'll Bring Along

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Java related frameworks like Spring or Quarkus for backend development.
  • Experience with frontend-related frameworks and tools such as Angular and Jest
  • Strong background in SQL and database management (e.g., Oracle, Postgres).
  • Experience with GitHub/GitHub Actions and Jenkins for CI/CD processes.
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.
  • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and various communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, HTTP).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Experience in writing unit tests and managing deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment tools like Azure and ArgoCD is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience with complex operational tasks related to infrastructure setup and management.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Structured and organized work methodology.
  • Ability to work independently while seeking support on specific topics.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German.
