New Build Machinary, Hull

• Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Familiarize yourself thoroughly QHSE requirements of shipyard, (Enclosed space entry, working at height …)

• Conduct hull and structural steel inspections throughout fabrication, erection, and outfitting phases in alignment with yard inspection requests, approved drawings, procedures, and project standards.

• Familiarize yourself thoroughly with the owner's and shipyard's agreed building standards, procedures, and quality requirements.

• Verify materials, fit-up, welding activities, NDT, and dimensional controls against the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).

• Witness Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) qualification tests, welder qualifications, and material testing in accordance with requirements and owners agreed standards.

• Prepare inspection reports.

• Monitor and report back on progress.

• Support the New Build Manager and Project Superintendent.

• Ensure documentation and reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with New Build Manager, Project Superintendent and yard in order to resolve quality issues, reporting back on required corrective actions.

• Checking and commissioning piping systems according to drawings and test protocols.

• Checking and testing of equipment according to manuals, specifications, drawings and test protocols.
