Role objective and key accountabilities:

The Software Engineering Intern will actively contribute to the development and improvement of our software systems while building professional skills in a supportive environment. Interns are given meaningful tasks and responsibilities, with guidance from the engineering team to ensure learning, growth, and successful delivery. This role is designed for recent graduates who want hands-on experience with real projects and modern engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Development:
    Work on coding tasks, features, and bug fixes as part of project teams.
  • Collaborate with Mentors:
    Receive feedback and guidance through code reviews, pair programming, and team discussions.
  • Testing & Quality:
    Participate in testing, debugging, and performance improvements.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
    Contribute to project documentation and share learning with the team.
  • Team Participation:
    Join sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to understand how software is delivered in a professional environment.
  • Continuous Learning:
    Develop technical and professional skills by working with experienced engineers and modern tools.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of at least the Java programming language.
  • Interest in building reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems.
  • Eagerness to tackle challenges and learn through experimentation.
  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to ask questions and share ideas.
  • Clear written and spoken English proficiency.

Experience:

  • Education:
    Recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Professional experience not required. University projects, personal projects, or prior internships are valuable.
  • Tools Exposure:
    Familiarity with development tools (IDEs, Git, project management tools like Jira) is a plus.
