Overview

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to drive the design and delivery of software solutions, working closely with client teams.

You will own key architectural decisions, enforce best practices, and ensure the systems are scalable, maintainable and ready for future needs.

The core product is a desktop application used globally by designers, manufacturing engineers, and builders in a multi-user production environment. A major focus is leading the migration from C++ to C# and modernizing the platform on AWS Cloud, ensuring successful migration without disrupting production, while also driving continuous code quality improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration from a monolithic system to a cloud-based architecture.
  • Ensure production continuity during cloud migration, avoiding downtime or user disruption.
  • Capture, document, and transfer critical system knowledge from external consultants to internal teams.
  • Define and design the decomposition of server components into modular cloud services.
  • Make and validate key architectural and technology choices for the cloud migration strategy.
  • Identify gaps in current system knowledge and address them through structured plans.
  • Provide technical direction, coaching, and support to developers during the transition.
  • Promote and enforce code quality standards across the development process.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in
    C++
    (legacy systems knowledge and migration support).
  • Solid experience with
    C#
    and
    cloud service architectures
    (preferably AWS).
  • Proven background in
    system design and decomposition
    of complex architectures.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation and manage effective knowledge transfer.
