We are seeking an experienced
Lead Cloud Platform Engineer
to spearhead transformative initiatives within our cloud infrastructure.

This role involves driving the deployment and advancement of cloud platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering and cloud security, with the ability to take end-to-end ownership of platform-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the deployment and ongoing development of an upgraded IAM model across 1300+ AWS accounts
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members while collaborating with the architecture team and multiple stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into actionable stories
  • Make technical design and amendment decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ensure all relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards
  • Schedule and coordinate capacity or product upgrades and releases while liaising with other areas of the business
  • Oversee system upgrades and coordinate efforts with internal teams and third-party vendors as needed
  • Create accurate system documentation and monitor performance to enhance business processes and support continual improvement activities
  • Act as a tech lead for a squad, mentoring junior engineers and serving as an expert in a specific area of the product

Requirements

  • Proven experience in engineering roles involving AWS, preferably as a platform engineer or cloud developer
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting, ideally with Python or GoLang
  • Expertise in cloud engineering and automation at a large scale
  • Practical background in Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of RBAC and Cloud IAM & Security principles
  • Competency in Terraform and its application in cloud infrastructure
