What you'll be doing

• Acting as a team lead and managing a group of Unix/Linux specialists.
• Coordinating and driving Service Improvement initiatives and Change Management processes.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Overseeing day-to-day infrastructure operations and ensuring system availability.
• Monitoring infrastructure health, conducting availability testing, and generating performance reports.
• Managing standard changes, service requests, and documentation.
• Participating in on-call rotations and escalation management.
• Leading and contributing to technical project work.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.
• Planning and executing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) tests.
• Ensuring compliance with SLAs and reporting on server environment metrics.
• Coordinating installation planning and execution.
• Managing priorities, activity reports, and incident/request/problem follow-ups.
• Facilitating integration and coordination with other departments and teams.
• Driving proactive evolution and optimization of service delivery methods and tools.

What you'll bring along

• University degree or equivalent through professional experience and training.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Unix/Linux infrastructure within mid to large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in system administration tasks (LVM, process management, resource allocation, file manipulation).
• Deep understanding of Unix/Linux concepts and architecture.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, Bash, Perl).
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, NTP, SMTP) and the OSI model.
• Experience with tools such as GIT/GitLab, Jenkins, RedHat Satellite, Kickstart.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios/Icinga2 or similar.
• Experience with cluster-based systems and VMware environments.
• Knowledge of automated configuration management tools (e.g., CFEngine, Ansible).
• Quick learner with the ability to self-study and adapt to new technologies.
• Structured, process-oriented, and capable of maintaining a high-level overview.
• Strong time management and independent working skills.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
• Service-oriented with a proactive attitude and a sense of ownership.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and methodical in problem-solving.
