Job Description
𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Bucharest, Romania (remotely), playing a key role in developing advanced statistical models, machine learning solutions, and AI-driven experimentation frameworks to drive faster, data-informed decisions across the group.

You will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and business stakeholders to design and deploy ML-ready pipelines and business-facing use cases, with a strong focus on scalability, trust, and near real-time insights.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

  • Design, build, and deploy machine learning models for trading, risk, and operational use cases.
  • Explore and apply advanced AI techniques, including agentic AI, to optimize decision-making processes.
  • Develop frameworks for experimentation, testing, and continuous improvement of ML models.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure ML pipelines are scalable, reliable, and production-ready.
  • Work with Data Architects to align semantic models and the knowledge graph with ML requirements.
  • Partner with business domain experts to translate problems into data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure model interpretability, governance, and alignment with compliance standards.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in AI/ML and proactively bring innovative methods into the organization.

Profile / Requirements
𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in trading, energy, or financial services.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Scala is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience deploying ML models into production (batch and streaming).
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling, optimization, and experimentation design.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken) — both mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀:

  • Knowledge of agentic AI and generative AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
